Educating Felicity & Friends

Marianne Young
​I have 18 years of experience as a special education teacher.  My goal is to share my experience with others and help families and educators of children with Down ​​syndrome and other developmental delays.  I taught at a private school for children with autism in New York for 4 years and a public school in Connecticut for 10 years.  I ​was​​ blessed with the opportunity to home-school Felicity, my niece with Down syndrome, and her 7 older siblings for 3 years. However, there are times I discover that I am the student.  It is amazing what I learn from Felicity, from my other students, and from my 32 nieces and nephews.  They teach me what is truly important in life.
